For The Love of Chocolate

A Group of top Chicago Chefs transformed the historic South Shore Center into a decadent chocolate wonderland – all to help a little girl Abigail Wodrich in her battle with kidney disease and other children like her at Children’s Memorial Hospital.

More that one ton of chocolate has been used to create dazzling chocolate body art, drinks, and amazing sculptures. Chicagoans had enjoyed a literal feast for all the senses, as they smelled, touched and tasted chocolate like never before.

In addition of sampling some of the best desserts in Chicago, the event was unique and fun for any Chocolate lover or not. It was full of surprises, from admiring models that showed off intricate chocolate clothing that were created by local chocolatiers, including

French Pastry School chef and instructor, Bob Hartwig. Hartwig created chocolate accessories that were featured during the prestigious New York Chocolate Show earlier this year . 58 Chefs and culinary students participated in preparation of this exquisite event for the lifelong benefit. Let the celebration begin.

For the Love of Chocolate would like to thank individuals and companies, for their very generous contribution, which have made this evening such a success.

We hope you can join us again in 2007.
